1. Where, and how it is decided
It is decided from your IP address (the country, and in the United States the state), and the location is not stored for this purpose. A connection that cannot be placed in any country is treated as one where the law applies. Elsewhere, your confirmation at sign-up that you are 18 or over is what counts.
2. What waits for the check
- Photos and videos: in every place listed. Until the check, photos are shown blurred, paid ones included, and videos are not shown.
- Explicit chat: in France, Germany, Australia, Brazil and the US states; not in the United Kingdom or Italy, whose rules do not cover text.
