Roleplay on Lovora: How Scenes Work, How to Start One, and the Limits
Last updated: October 7, 2026 | Lovora is an adults-only (18+) service on which all content is generated by artificial intelligence.
Short answer: yes. On Lovora you can roleplay with any companion: set a scene and she plays along in character, keeps to it and takes it further with you, with adult roleplay allowed for adults within the rules. Replies are short and conversational, like texting, rather than long narrated paragraphs. This document explains how scenes work, how to start one well, and what roleplay on Lovora is not built for.
1. How a scene works
- You set it, she joins it. Describe where you are, who you both are and what is happening; she answers from inside that situation, in her own personality.
- She stays in character. Companions do not break the scene to talk about being an AI unless you ask, and they will not turn into an assistant (no essays, lists or homework in the middle of a scene).
- Texting style. One or two short sentences per reply. During intimate scenes she may open with one short action between asterisks — *pulls you closer* — and never a paragraph of stage directions.
- Any of nine languages. She roleplays in the language you write in (Languages, measured).
2. Starting a good scene
- Pick a companion whose personality fits the scene — playful, shy, dominant, caring… — or design one: the builder lets you choose her personality, her relationship to you (stranger, girlfriend, wife, friend, colleague or ex) and her occupation (Designing your own companion).
- Open with the setting and a stake — “We’re stuck in a mountain cabin during a storm, and you’ve just admitted you planned it” works better than “let’s roleplay”.
- Steer with short moves. Because replies are short, the scene advances in quick turns: add a detail, a decision or a line of dialogue each time.
- Switch to her voice. The same scene can continue in a voice call (Voice notes and voice calls).
3. Memory and continuity
On every reply she reads the last 40 messages word for word, which keeps the current scene coherent. Across days, a long-term memory keeps up to 15 lasting facts about you (not a transcript of every scene), refreshed every 5 messages. Details of a scene from long ago may fade; your name, your preferences and what matters to you stay (How memory works).
4. Turning a scene into a photo
When a conversation is inside a concrete scene, a button appears that turns the scene into a photo of her in that moment, with the same face as always, for 12 credits. You can also ask for a photo in your own words. Free accounts see a blurred preview (Photos and videos).
5. The rules in roleplay
A fictional frame changes nothing: the categories prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy — minors or anyone who appears underage (including school settings and age regression), real people, non-consent, incest including step-family, violence and snuff, bestiality, sex under the influence, prostitution and the rest — are blocked in roleplay as everywhere else. A blocked request is refused in the chat; a single block never suspends an account (Safety and moderation, What adult content Lovora allows).
6. What Lovora is not built for
- Long narrated replies. If you want chapters of prose per message, story-roleplay sites with community characters are a better fit; Lovora is a one-to-one conversation.
- Group scenes. One companion per conversation; no multi-character scenes.
- Lorebooks and character cards. There is no editor for world-building documents; a companion’s background comes from her profile or from the builder’s choices.
7. Questions people ask
Can I roleplay with an AI girlfriend on Lovora?
Yes. You set a scene in your message — a place, a situation, who you both are — and your companion plays along in character, stays in the scene and moves it forward with you. Adult roleplay is allowed within the Acceptable Use Policy.
Are the replies long like in story-roleplay apps?
No. Companions reply the way people text: one or two short sentences, with at most one short action in asterisks during intimate scenes. Lovora is built for a conversation with one character, not for long narrated chapters.
Does she remember the story?
She reads the last 40 messages word for word on every reply, so the current scene stays coherent, and lasting facts about you are kept in a long-term memory across sessions.
Can I get a picture of the scene?
Yes. When a conversation is inside a concrete scene, a button offers to turn it into a photo of her in that scene, for 12 credits; you can also simply ask for a photo.
What is not allowed in roleplay?
The same as everywhere on Lovora: minors or anyone who appears underage, real people, non-consent, incest including step-family, violence, bestiality and the other categories in the Acceptable Use Policy — whatever the fictional framing.
Can I roleplay with more than one character at once?
No. Each conversation is with one companion; group scenes with several characters are not supported.
